orphaned and sworn into the creed at the age of eight, din djarin was raised as a foundling in the fighting corps. fuelled by a deep-seated inferiority complex and a determination to be number one, he swiftly advanced in the ranks, collecting beskar’gam and earning his proverbial “ stripes, ” so to speak. when he graduated at the top of his class at eighteen, he became a mentor and chosen hunter for the clan. there, as a mentor, he would meet and adopt far’ryn naas as his foundling, who would slowly chip away at his steely carapace with her healing presence and sweet disposition. for ten years din mentored her and loved her as his own -- and when it came time for her to spread her wings and leave the nest on her first mission … she never came back. unable to mentor younglings without thinking of his daughter, he set out to make a name for himself at twenty-eight. cocksure and full of himself ( with every reason to be ), he signed on as a mercenary running jobs for ranzar malk. now living as a gun-for-hire with the sole intention of target practice, din djarin spends most of his days elbow-deep in engine grease or fighting with his crew members aboard the roost space station. with a boss prone to favouritism, and an ego the size of a planet, din djarin hasn’t quite learned how to “ drop the ego ” just yet.
